The Sexual Exploitation of Children is Happening - Here, and More Often Than We Think
Of the 5,000 children Olive Crest serves daily:
- 20% have already been involved in sexual exploitation
- 50% have been approached by traffickers
- 100% are considered high-risk for being targeted
Across the United States, 325,000 children are commercially sexually exploited each year, with the average age being 12-14 years old.
These are not distant statistics. These are children in our communities - Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Riverside, Coachella Valley, Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, Washington State, and beyond.
